The Freedom Toyota Pet Expo will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at Freedom Toyota, 6060 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA. The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance and other animal organizations will exhibit and provide activities, including pet travel tips from celebrity animal trainer Harrison Forbes.
Pet diversions are a leading cause of distracted driving crashes. This issue takes on special significance as families ? and their pets ?- hit the vacation roads this summer.
While cars are designed to fit and protect people, pet needs are different and they require modified methods to help insure everyone?s highway safety. That?s why Forbes is coming to Central PA to educate local pets and their human families on safe animal travel this summer.
The film and television animal expert, host of the national radio show Pet Talk, and best-selling author of ?Dog Talk? will share pet travel tips, greet local pets, answer questions about animal behaviors, and sign autographs at Freedom Toyota in Harrisburg this Saturday, July 14. The event, co-sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance, is free. All area pets and their families are invited to attend.
Forbes also has appeared on numerous television programs, including ?The Today Show,? ?Live with Regis and Kelly,? and ?Larry King Live.? He has trained and imported more than 700 police service dogs and trained dogs in Hollywood for major motion pictures, including Francis Ford Coppola?s ?The Rainmaker.?
